Malaysia Waldorf Education Preparation

The Malaysia Waldorf Education Preparation (MWEP) Course Committee is a coalition of Waldorf Educators in Malaysia since 2012.  This initiative started in response to the needs of the growing Waldorf Education movement in Malaysia. It endeavours to channel all surplus generated from its events into promoting the growth of Waldorf Education in Malaysia as a whole.
We had been organising preparation courses, workshops and public talks that are related to Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy.  And the journey continues…

OUR APPROACH:

We offer part-time courses which aim to allow an immersion into Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy and approach to childhood development & education; and an exploration of the content of a curriculum that intimately supports children's unfolding consciousness.

 

Drawing upon Rudolf Steiner’s penetrating insights and exercises, these courses intend to give you an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the world, both physical and spiritual.  Practical guidance and ideas will be shared for educators to apply in classrooms or parents to support their children’s learning at home. 

 

The approach of these courses are to offer opportunity to work interactively with a wide range of tutors and educators to explore many facets of Steiner’s “Art of Education” and the underlying spiritual scientific concepts.  Being an educator, we have to continually invent the art of teaching to find an approach, which is suitable and healthy for the cognitive ability of the children.  The unique experiences from tutors with different cultural background provide us the different exposures and allow us to experience Waldorf Education from different perspectives, which help tremendously in the flow of our creative forces.   More importantly, the diversified background of the tutors help us develop a World View which we in turn strive to nurture in our students.

 

Nevertheless, fellow learners are advised not to take the contents dogmatically but apply the art of education with discernment and common sense that suit your children and their learning environment.
