Reflective Biography in relation to Waldorf Pedagogy

This inter-module workshop is part of the 3 Years Waldorf Teachers Preparation Course.

Today, we live in a society in which the special, the authentic, the singular is sought. We will increasingly hand over general activities to the machines. While we increasingly experience the potential of the individual biography, we are, at the same time, confronted with new dangers such as one-sidedness, excessive demands, physical or mental illnesses in response to the immense pressure of expectation.

Under Waldorf Education, Rudolf Steiner provided us with a modern tool to accompany our children holistically, with the awareness of the laws of life. This is

because the future needs people who grow up to be physically healthy, emotionally appreciative, mentally creative, strongly bonded and have the zest for life. And more than ever, people who want and can follow their own paths with great confidence and courage.

Specifically, we look at the laws of metamorphosis in biography work and work to understand the fourfoldness and threefoldness of man in practical life. We deepen the first three year-olds in their consequence for the whole further life.
